Welcome to FABB FADS

Our mission is to seek out other people’s “junk” and, with a little bit of crafty magic, transform it back into beautiful, desirable, useful objects once more.

“We specialise in the wonderful and the extraordinary…”

Every single FABB FADS item is unique, a one-off piece of art, designed and decorated by emerging designer and furniture artist, Peggy Precious, who specializes in the wonderful and the extraordinary, the unusual and the beautiful. All of these items were once unwanted and discarded, often rescued from going to the rubbish dump, now they have been transformed back into highly desirable objects of beauty, and many are seeking a new owner.

We hope to inspire others to follow our example and, via our blog and social media, offer ideas, information and tips, as we find we are constantly learning with each new project and want to pass this knowledge on to other like-minded folk because we are passionate about recycling, repurposing and reusing all we can.

For those who like what we do, but just don’t have the time, or perhaps the inclination to do it themselves, we offer much of what we create for sale on here, via the shop on our Facebook page and on Gumtree.

We hope you enjoy browsing our website.

Please feel free to contact us with any enquiries.

You can also stay right up to date with everything we do by signing up for our mailing list following us on here or on Facebook and Twitter… or all options, if you really don’t want to miss a thing 🙂

The People Behind FABB FADS

FABB FADS is the combined creative hard work of husband and wife team Teddy Bug & Peggy Precious (aka Nicholas & Janis Smith) doing their thing with rescued furniture and any other discarded treasures they happen to come across. When not creating something from nothing for FABB FADS, Peggy can be found in her other guise as the novelist Janis Pegrum Smith… Based in Norfolk, UK, this couple are passionate about rescuing the things other people throw out and turning that trash into treasure; what started out as a bit of a hobby has become a way of life. Together this dynamic duo aim to buck the trend of our modern consumerist throwaway society, turning back the clock to a make-do and mend mentality…
